Senator Eteng Williams Hosts APC Delegates in Abuja Ahead of National Convention Distinguished Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, Senator representing Cross River Central Senatorial District and a key member of the APC National Convention Planning Committee, hosted delegates from Cross River Central Senatorial district alongside members of the State Working Committee to a welcome dinner in Abuja. The gathering brought together key political figures within the party, including the newly elected APC State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Chris Etta and members of the State Working Committee, Member representing Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency, Hon. Victor Abang, the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, alongside all members of the State Assembly, Local Government Chairmen, APC Chapter Chairmen and Secretaries from the Central Senatorial District. Also in attendance was the former Executive Secretary of Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC), Barr. George Ekpungu, Board Member, Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Barr. Tina Agbor, Cross River State Commissioner for Information, Erasmus Ekpang, Ph.D and other prominent APC stakeholders.In his welcome address, Senator Williams expressed appreciation to the delegates for honoring his invitation, noting that the dinner provided an opportunity to reconnect following the successful state congresses and to commend party members for sustaining unity and strength within the APC. He reaffirmed his commitment to working with party leadership to ensure continued success and national progress.“I warmly welcome all delegates and stakeholders to Abuja for the 2026 APC National Convention. This important gathering offers us the opportunity to consolidate our gains and achievements while charting a forward-looking path for our great party as we prepare for the 2027 general elections,” he stated.In his response, Rt. Hon. Chris Etta commended the Senator’s gesture, describing it as a clear demonstration of dedication and commitment to the party. He expressed appreciation on behalf of the State Executive Committee for the warm reception and hospitality.Senator Williams expressed optimism that the outcomes of the convention would further strengthen the APC and position it for sustained leadership and service to the Nigerian people.
