ANGLICAN COMMUNION_ DIOCESE OF OGOJA HONOURS DR.LINDA AYADE…Names her Healthcare Champion

The Anglican Diocese of Ogoja honoured Dr. Mrs. Linda Ayade with the Distinguished Humanitarian Service Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the health sector, her commitment to women and child healthcare, and her compassionate interventions for the less privileged in society.

In her acceptance speech, Dr. Ayade, who was represented at the event by Hon. Rhoda Ashong, Vice Chairman Of Obudu Local government area of Cross River State, said “I usually decline awards, but this one is particularly meaningful because it truly speaks to the essence of our efforts and it comes from mothers and godly women whose values I hold in very high esteem. I accept it with a grateful heart and dedicate it to the Almighty God who has enabled us to carry on this work of compassion and service to humanity.”

The award presentation took place during the Diocesan Women’s Conference of the Anglican Diocese of Ogoja, themed “Deborah Generation: Mothers Arise”, as part of the Diocese’s recognition of individuals whose service continue to positively impact communities and promote human wellbeing.

The award was presented by the Rt. Rev’d Ifeanyi Akunna, who commended Dr. Linda Ayade for her humanitarian service and dedication to improving healthcare delivery, especially for women and children across communities.

Other personalities recognized include Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Prof. Ifeoma Ojemeni Okali, Chief Dr. (Hon.) Mrs. Margaret Ekpo, OON, CFR, His Worship, Mrs. Bariyaah Abe.
