Your Excellency,
Today, 2nd June, I pause to honor you not just as the Deputy Governor of Cross River State, but as a man whose life has quietly reshaped many destinies around you, including me
I’ve watched you up close over time, and what stands out is not only the weight of the office you carry, but the lightness of your spirit while carrying it. In a world where power often hardens people, you’ve chosen a different path. You lead with patience, you correct with wisdom, and you listen before you speak. That rare combination has earned you respect across party lines, across the three senatorial districts, and across generations.
On a personal note, Sir, thank you for the example you set. You’ve taught many of us that titles are temporary, but character is permanent. That service is not about being in front, but about making sure no one is left behind. That integrity is not a speech, it’s a daily choice. I’ve learned from the way you handle pressure, the way you mentor younger people without making them feel small, and the way you remain grounded despite the demands of government.
As you mark another year today, my prayer is simple , May God continue to renew your strength like the eagle’s. May your wisdom deepen so that every decision you take continues to open doors for our people. May your health remain strong, your peace unshaken, and your joy complete even in seasons of pressure. May the seeds of kindness you’ve sown in policies, in personal encounters, in quiet acts of help return to you as honor, protection, and testimonies that silence every doubt.
