High Chief Higgins Peters has once again demonstrated that true leadership is defined by consistency, integrity, and service. In fulfillment of his commitment to the traditional institution in Northern Cross River, he has completed the third phase of his monthly stipend initiative for traditional rulers across the region.
The latest payment covers May, June, and July, benefiting 128 Clan Heads and the five Paramount Rulers in the Northern Senatorial District. The stipends are paid every three months in arrears as part of his sustained support for the custodians of the region’s cultural heritage.
Commending the gesture, two of the Paramount Rulers described High Chief Higgins Peters as a selfless leader whose generosity is driven by genuine love for his people rather than personal gain or political ambition.
“He is not the richest man in Cross River State, but he has continued to give from the heart. He owes no one this kindness, yet he remains faithful to his promises. We pray that God preserves and prospers him, and when the time comes for him to seek higher office, the people of Northern Cross River will remember these sacrifices,” they said.
