
In line with the commitment of the Cross River State Government to delivering durable and high-quality road infrastructure, a team of engineers from the Cross River State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, on 5th July 2026, embarked on a comprehensive materials quality assessment on the ongoing Boki East–West Boje road project.

The inspection exercise was led by the Honourable Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Ankpo Pius Edet, alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, with support from senior engineers and technical personnel.

The quality assessment was carried out to verify that all construction materials being used on the project comply with approved engineering specifications and meet the required standards for strength, durability, and long-term performance.
Addressing the inspection team, Hon. Ankpo Pius Edet reiterated that the administration of Governor Bassey Edet Otu remains committed to delivering infrastructure that meets the highest standards of quality. He emphasized that regular monitoring and quality control inspections are essential to ensuring value for public funds and guaranteeing the longevity of road projects across the state.
The Ministry reaffirmed that no compromise will be made on quality, as it continues to strengthen supervision and technical oversight of ongoing projects in line with the “People First” agenda of the Cross River State Government.
